Gabriel holds degrees from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid (BA Law), Cardiff Law School (Diploma in Legal Studies) and King’s College London (MA International Peace and Security)
He has previously worked as a Foreign Policy adviser in the Spanish Prime Minister's Office and has held a number of positions at CITpax in the Conflict Prevention; and the Middle East and Mediterranean Programmes since 2005. Prior to joining CITpax he worked as a researcher at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (London), the Political Committee of NATO Parliamentary Assembly (Brussels) as well as the Club of Madrid
He is fluent in Spanish, French and English and collaborates with a wide variety of national and international media outlets and think tanks. He is currently an Associate Research Fellow at CIDOB, Barcelona, where he develops a project on the Sources of Tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan: Regional Perspectives.
