On July 3-4, 2017, the Toledo International Centre for Peace, in cooperation with the Elcano Royal Institute, organised a roundtable under the title: “Israel / Palestine in the Trump era: the question of Jerusalem”. The meeting, which was held under the sponsorship of the Spanish Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, involved the participation of key international experts and political representatives from the Middle East. Participants included Shlomo Ben Ami, Nabil Fahmy, Mohammed Shtayyeh and Daniel Kurzter, among others. The purpose of the meeting was to carry out a reflection on the peace process in the Trump era with a special focus on the question of Jerusalem, with the aim to examine whether any constructive steps and support can be developed in parallel.
