Seville, Fundación Tres Culturas
The meeting was devised as an exercise to stimulate discussion between civil society and the university community on the role of NATO and the international community in Afghanistan, as well as to offer students the opportunity to put their questions to those people responsible for the design and application of Atlantic Alliance policies.
The conclusions reached during the technical seminar in Madrid were expressed and discussed the following day by university students in Seville within the framework of a high level forum. Students had the opportunity to put their questions to NATO’s Secretary General Jaap De Hoop Scheffer and the Defence Minister, José Antonio Alonso, during lunch held at the headquarters of the Tres Culturas Foundation and subsequently to a panel of experts.
